Torah and the Solution to the Palestinian Problem

Everyone it seems has an opinion on how to bring peace to the middle east.  Being a non resister, my view of overcoming the evil of Palestinian terrorism with good is not very popular.  Many would say that Israel defending itself through violence and war cannot be avoided.  Maybe they are right, but if one must go to war, one must go to war the way YHWH commanded us to.  But very few think to ask what the Torah has to say (if anything) about going to war with the Palestinians.  I think it is because most of Christianity could care less what the Torah has to say from a practical application point of view.  And most Jews (being secular) are the same.  Perhaps it is because the Torah is looked at as being to harsh?  But let us be honest, war is harsh!  So, what does the Torah have to say?

Devarim20:10 When thou comest nigh unto a city to fight against it, then proclaim peace unto it.
11 And it shall be, if it make thee answer of peace, and open unto thee, then it shall be, that all the people that is found therein shall be tributaries unto thee, and they shall serve thee.
12 And if it will make no peace with thee, but will make war against thee, then thou shalt besiege it:
13 And when YHWH thy Elohim hath delivered it into thine hands, thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword:
14 But the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city, even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take unto thyself; and thou shalt eat the spoil of thine enemies, which YHWH thy Elohim hath given thee.
15 Thus shalt thou do unto all the cities which are very far off from thee, which are not of the cities of these nations.

This is the most lenient position the Torah takes on going to war.  And it is only talking about the Nations outside of HaErets(the land).  So a strong argument can be made that the Palestinians, even though they are not Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites or Jebusites should be treated as if they are, because of the fact that they live in the land of our inheritance.

16 But of the cities of these people, which YHWH thy Elohim doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:
17 But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as YHWH thy Elohim hath commanded thee:
18 That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their elohim; so should ye sin against YHWH your Elohim.

It does not really matter which option the Israelis choose.  Either one will take care of the Palestinians.

1a)  They offer peace, and the Palestinians except(not very likely), and become their tributaries and slaves.

1b)  They offer peace, and the Palestinians refuse(very likely), and they kill all their men, and take their women and children as slaves.

2)  They kill everyone without offering peace at all.

This may seem barbaric to modern readers, it certainly sounds barbaric to me.  And then I remember people like the Fogel family and think to myself maybe it would be just treatment.  If you don't know who the Fogel family is just google them and you will see what I mean.  If option two is the one that YHWH wants the Israelis to follow then there is a curse for failing to obey.

Bemidbar33:55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.
56 Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.

This certainly is the case with the Palestinians today.  But will YHWH really cast the Jews out of the land for not driving out the Palestinians as this verse implies?  As it says in the book of Revelation;

11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

I guess He will.

People do not want to do what Yeshua said and turn the other cheek.  And they are not willing to do what Yeshua said through Moshe in the Torah about going to war.  So people end up doing neither.  They would rather do what is right in their own eyes, and do something in the middle.  YHWH forgive our lawlessness!
